Until Proven Innocent

by Nicola Williams

Jack Lambert is a racist police sergeant. Lee Mitchell is a black barrister. A black boy is shot and as good as killed. When Lambert is nicked and charged for the shooting, he denies the allegation and engineers representation by Mitchell. Set in Brixton / Peckham type areas of South East London, where racial tension indicators are off the scale, it all gets a bit… heated.

Interesting title. Coming from Nicola Williams, a member of the judiciary, there’s a lot of meaning behind that.
